I can't get Salam Pax, which either means I botched the link, or that he's gone offline. I suspect the latter... which would be a real shame (to say the least). Worrying, also.
AngieJ, on the other hand, is still very much there and somewhat stunned by the literally hundreds of comments she received in reply to her post. The missing child and his family is thought to be in Amsterdam and she's trying to get back to normality as a writer of Harry Potter fan-fiction. |

Salam Pax has been getting uber amounts of traffic as of late, so keep trying, you can eventually get in. If he did get taken off line... I wonder who did it. Wouldnt suprise me that Dubya didnt want people to feel sorry for the iraqi citizens, because it would be a shame to put a human face on those who we are bombing the hell out of.
Though, he hasnt posted in 3 days, so I dunno. I hope he is safe from our bombs and the iraqi government. Id hate to see what they would think of his blog, seeing as iraq blocks most major search engines, and randomly checks sites that iraqi internet users go to. He's a brave one, and I admire his willingness to risk his and his families safety to let the world know whats going on. I dont think many people would do that these days.
hrm... it could also be that they used the E-Bombs, the ones that melt circuitry and disable electronics... so his computer could have literally died. Phone lines disabled... etc.
I can still get to Salam, so you're broken. ;]
What link are you using? I remember he said there was a mirror site up - it would probably be safer for me to use that one.
I must admit, I did figure it was probably down to some cable somewhere being cut by a bomb.
That's the link I'm using - it's coming up dead for me... maybe it's the Home Office here that's at fault.

By the way - have you and Zowie given any thought to my offer of March 22 in your Journal?
We have, I shall e-mail you directly. | |
