Oh yeah - forgot to mention the best bit about setting up the new computer... I got the power supply for the external speakers mixed up with the one for the modem on the old computer and set the speakers on fire. Well, to be more precise, grey smoke began streaming out of one and there was a foul smell of melting plastic and frying electrics. The speakers don't work now, of course. |

erm ooops!
reminds me of the time when we unplugged loads of bits around the computer and went to plug the scanner back in. Wrong plug by a milliamp or something and it fried that!!
Don't even mention the scanner... it won't work with the new PC at all as it's not Windows XP compatible...
I have the same problem. My scnanner has a ISIC card and NT doesn't recognise them :-(
