Nonconformist no more [Dec. 16th, 2002|10:50 am]
[Feeling |cold]
[Reading |Fatherland]

I'm starting to get spam to one of my another.com addresses, so I'm shutting it down.

If you ever use random@nonconformist.co.uk to contact me, best you stop and use the one in my profile here or at Tangent 21 instead.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr [Dec. 16th, 2002|11:45 am]
[Feeling |Very cold]

We're all sitting here in fleeces and long winter coats, trying to type / code with blue fingers - except one flash bastard in a t-shirt.

A heating engineer has been called... who knows, maybe one will actually turn up.

Aren't there health and safety regulations controlling how cold it can get in an office before you can walk out? I'm sure when I was on the Kilburn Times we had a little National Union of Journalists' colour chart / thermometer to tell us.

Tales from the Random Button part 1 [Dec. 16th, 2002|04:45 pm]
[Feeling |chipper]
[Reading |Webmonkey help pages]

Sometimes you can be surfing 'round random journals and come across something that makes you go 'huh?' and re-read it... just 'cause you can't believe you read it right first time.

Here's one I saw today:

I'm such a dweeb. Why this time? Well, I went overt to her fridge, 'cause I was hungry, and I saw this box, and it said, like, "butter sticks" on it. And like, I guess I was spacing out, or something, 'cause fpr a minute, I though it was like, a snack, or some junk. Then, when I opened up the box...I realized that they were actually just sticks of butter...Ahem...Yeah..Then I accidentally shut the cat half way in the fridge.

I'm not saying whose DJ it was because it ain't fair to... she's not a "dweeb" though.

Off home now [Dec. 16th, 2002|05:50 pm]

Want to make a rough estimate of the number of heating engineers who visited today?

Give you a clue:

If you pick a number greater than or equal to "1" you've guessed too high.
