Pimpin'! Snupin_Santa...LS Fest...Collabs...Movies...Art...a warning....

[info]snupin_santa sign-ups end at midnight on Tuesday (that's laaate Monday night to most of us). This Snupin holiday exchange is shaping up into another great year of Snape/Lupin posts throughout December. Come join us!

*****
There is a **Spoiler Title** fest on at [info]lupin_snape! You can sign up here or here on InsaneJournal. There are spoilery prompts and instead of signing up to take a prompt (you can choose any), you pick a week in October to post. This fest is on the flexible side, though, so please check it out and sign up. Drabbles and drawables are as welcome as epic fics and colour art masterpieces. The name of the fest is: DH spoilers. )

Written and posted two drabbles in collaboration with [info]tbranch's art - Pansy and Last Appointment, which is a Deathly Hallows possible canon moment, so spoilers.

Movie round-up:

Stardust - Incandescent fun! A movie about a star that falls to earth and all the magic and fantasy that can surround such an event. There is a touch of dryness in the humour that will remind you of The Princess Bride without stealing from it, and some excellent performances that turn the celebrities' reputations on their heads. Don't miss this on the big screen! Oh, and did I mention this is an adaption of a Neil Gaiman book? Go! *g*

Hairspray - Let's face it, I prefer this glossy musical version's story to the original movie, although I appreciate the original in a different mental category. This film version of the stage musical radiates joy in every cell, and I defy anyone to attend it and not leave with a big, stupid smile.

Becoming Jane - Lest you think I spend all my time wallowing in fun, I must say, this was a beautiful, but heartbreaking movie. It's an imagining of how a period in Jane Austen's life might have gone, and the story is every inch Austenesque - except for the ending, which satisfies in entirely different ways. Anne Hathaway is wonderful in this movie, as is the rest of the very British all-star cast.

The Bourne Ultimatum - A return to fine form for this spy franchise. The only films to keep me from mocking Matt Damon long and hard. ;)

Order of the Phoenix IMAX - Dudes the last 20 minutes are in 3-D. Make the effort to see it before it goes, which will be soon, I'm sure.

*****
Too sexy not to share - The Silk by YanaGoya (Snape). Not entirely Work Safe for slightly bare chest and just...the DEAD SEXINESS!

And not that I wanted this "buried" per se, but in a long post, I know most of you skip to the end....Read point #6 in this post if you write fanfic. Thus, the reason I am cross-posting this to four journals.

amusing myself )

In other amusing news, I was setting up my InsaneJournal when I went to paste in my bio and it told me I had too many interests: 151 when I am only allowed 150. I had originally started my IJ with only one interest, Freedom of Speech, and I decided to keep it.

So, what interest don't I have anymore, what can I give up, what to delete, what to delete...Oh! I know!
